Apply for the online university startup program!Learn a little differently with us!

In September, the Hungarian Startup University Program will start again at our university. The program is implemented with the cooperation of the National Innovation Agency and the support of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund.

We are sure that everyone has creativity and the ability to innovate in their own field of interest. You can be an engineer, economist, humanities, doctor or lawyer, you innovate something every day, but maybe not consciously. You have to learn how to make your ideas come true!

Are you curious about what makes this program different and what are its special features?
Well then, let's see some of them!

The characters
Business is a board game for adults. What kind of puppet you play, what role you can play within a business, depends on several different factors. Even in HSUP, the wand chooses the wizard! The program begins by completing a role assignment test, on the basis of which we propose which of the 4 most important founding roles in the startup world (CEO - executive, CTO - technology leader, project manager and designer) you should complete the training in.

Unique contents
HSUP's bonus course materials are a veritable treasure trove. In addition to the entire curriculum, you can expand your knowledge with various personalized content according to your role. If you're tired of books and notes, we've got you covered with the best videos, podcasts and case studies.

Partners
The Hungarian Startup University Program is joined by organizations and businesses as partners who want to help the implementation of your ideas with various offers. These offers are only for HSUP students, so if you are participating in the program, browse through the offers and find the right one for your team.

What will you learn?
The HSUP consists of a total of 12 modules. You can learn seven of them in the first semester and five in the second.

I. semester

  • Introduction: What is innovation?
  • Idea validation
  • Business and financial planning
  • Market entry
  • Intellectual property
  • The investors
  • The pitch

II. semester

  • The team
  • Market and market entry strategy
  • BMC and prototyping
  • Business and financial planning II.
  • Pitch - presentation of the idea

The chapters have a modular structure, in addition to text and image elements, case studies, interactive tests related to the topic, embedded podcasts, online videos and other content also appear in the material. During community learning, students can collect and share additional resources themselves. The course materials are built on each other, so they can only be completed in a specific order. The entire curriculum valid for everyone is supplemented with bonus content according to personality types. Each module ends with a summary video and a test where students can assess their knowledge.

After signing in, the program begins with the completion of a personality test, with the help of which we make a suggestion as to what role the student could most successfully play in a team. The survey is based on the extended personality test called "16 personalities", which allows us to gain the most accurate insight into individual competencies. Based on this, the student can be directed to the four main directions: CEO, CTO, Project Manager and Creative (Designer), without which it is difficult to launch a successful startup.

The curriculum offers customized routes for each personality type, but also provides uniform knowledge to all team members. In this way, everyone learns the entire curriculum of HSUP, but can meet extra content according to their own interests and develop in their own way.

HSUP is not a traditional university course, so you don't have to be afraid of tests either, for us, development is the most important thing. In order for students to receive feedback on their progress, there is a final test at the end of each module. In addition to completing these, in the first semester, students must present their innovative idea in the form of a one-pager. In the second semester, students have the opportunity to work in project teams on the implementation of a selected innovative business idea, or they can continue the course individually and complete the modules. In the second semester, in addition to the end-of-module tests, the teams must upload a progress report summarizing their semester's work at the end of the semester. Also, during the semester, the students working in the team must submit an online project progress report.
